Information We Collect
We may collect the following personal information from you:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Country and region
- Billing address and shipping address (future use)
- Payment details (processed via third-party providers)
- Order history and pre-order value
- Technical data (e.g., IP address, browser type, device info)
- The text of any question you send to our AI assistant
We collect this information when you:
- Fill out our contact form

- Ask a question through our AI assistant
- Browse our website — our hosting provider processes the technical data above in its server logs; usage measurement runs only if you consent (see “Cookies and Tracking Technologies” below)
Use of Your Information
We use your data to:
- Provide, personalize, and improve our services
- Process and manage pre-orders and transactions
- Communicate with you via email or newsletters
- Display statistics about pre-orders (anonymized)
- Answer questions you send to our AI assistant
- Prevent fraud and ensure security
- Comply with legal obligations
Sharing Your Information
We share your personal data with trusted third parties for the following purposes:
- Hosting and delivery: Vercel Inc. (USA) operates the servers this website runs on and keeps short-lived technical server logs
- AI assistant: Anthropic PBC (USA) — see the separate section below
- Contact form and newsletter: GrowPotential (Germany) and Resend, Inc. (USA) — see the separate section below
- Pre-orders and payment processing: Stripe, Inc. (USA) handles the checkout on our pre-order pages
- Pre-order counter and product data: Supabase and Webflow store the figures and product entries shown on those pages
- Embedded media: YouTube (Google). Videos load only after you click play, and then from YouTube’s no-cookie domain. The preview image is a copy served from our own server, so simply opening a page that carries a video sends nothing to Google
- Order fulfillment: Manufacturers, delivery service providers
Several of these providers are based in the USA. Transfers there are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We use no advertising or remarketing services; usage measurement (Google Analytics) runs only with your prior consent — see “Cookies and Tracking Technologies”.
Contact Form and Newsletter
When you use the contact form or the newsletter sign-up on this website, the data you enter — your name, email address, phone number (if given), the subject you selected and your message, together with the time of submission — is transmitted to us so that we can answer you.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) where your inquiry concerns our products or a possible cooperation, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering inquiries addressed to us) in all other cases. Providing the data is voluntary; without a name, an email address and a message we cannot process the inquiry.
Processor: the form is operated on our behalf by our web agency GrowPotential (Germany), which receives the submission, forwards it to us, sends you a confirmation of receipt and stores it in our inquiry records. GrowPotential acts solely on our instructions under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Sub-processors: GrowPotential uses Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) to deliver the resulting emails, and an internal messaging service (Telegram) to notify our team that a new inquiry has arrived. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention: we keep inquiries for as long as needed to deal with your request and for any follow-up questions arising from it, unless statutory retention obligations require us to keep them longer. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. You may object to the processing or ask for erasure at any time at info@kraftwerkgroup.com.
AI Assistant (“Ask kraftwerk”)
Every page of this website carries a floating button that opens our assistant (“Ask kraftwerk” / “Frag kraftwerk”). It answers questions about our technology in plain language. Simply opening the button transmits nothing — data leaves your browser only when you actually send a question.
What is transmitted: the question you type, the most recent messages of the same conversation as context (at most the last twelve messages, each truncated to 1,500 characters) and the language you are reading the site in. Your IP address reaches our server with the request, as with any web request.
Processor: the answer is generated by Anthropic PBC, San Francisco, USA, which processes the transmitted text on our behalf as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. The transfer to the USA is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in explaining a complex technology to visitors quickly and around the clock. Using the assistant is entirely voluntary; the same questions can be sent to us by email instead.
Retention: we do not store your conversations. The conversation exists only in your browser’s memory and is gone when you close or reload the page. Your IP address is held in the working memory of our server for the sole purpose of limiting how many questions may be sent from one address — six per minute and sixty per day — and therefore falls out of that count at the latest after 24 hours. It is never written to a database. How long Anthropic retains API inputs on its side is governed by its own data processing terms.
Please do not type personal data into the chat. The assistant does not need your name, address, phone number, customer or payment details, and it cannot process a request that concerns your personal data. For anything of that kind, use the contact form or write to info@kraftwerkgroup.com.
Answers are generated by an AI system. They can be incomplete or wrong and are never a binding commitment on our part.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
This website uses no advertising or remarketing technology — no Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Pixel, no session recording, and we do not follow you across other websites.
Usage measurement — only with your consent. On your first visit we ask whether we may measure how this site is used with Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.). Until you decide, nothing is loaded and nothing is measured; declining is exactly one click and the site works identically. If you consent, Google Analytics sets cookies (prefixed “_ga”) and processes pseudonymized usage data (pages viewed, rough location from a shortened IP address, device class) on our behalf under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDG; data may be transferred to the USA under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page — measurement stops and the Google Analytics cookies of this site are deleted.
The one cookie we set is called kw-lang. It stores nothing but the value “en” or “de” and remembers which language you chose, so the site opens in that language on your next visit. It is written when you use the language switcher, and also when you open an address that starts with /en; it expires after one year. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings; the site keeps working without it and simply opens in English.
Because this cookie does nothing but deliver a function you asked for yourself, it is strictly necessary within the meaning of Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDG and does not require consent. The consent banner you see concerns only the optional usage measurement described above — with a genuine, equally easy way to decline.
One exception worth naming: our pre-order pages load the payment provider Stripe, which sets its own cookies to process the payment and to detect fraud. Our embedded YouTube videos are not a second exception: their preview images are copies stored on our own server, and a connection to YouTube — over its no-cookie domain — is made only once you click play.

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
